The True Value of A Job Title

I used to work at a place where they cut costs by hiring mostly graduate and under-graduate employees. They were a small business at the time so it was understandable and the pay was well below the market rate. One thing they were generous with was giving us fancy titles as a way to reward our hard work (instead of a pay increase). One of my colleagues then went to a job interview with that title on his CV and the interviewer couldn't keep his smirk off his face: "Senior Systems Integration Engineer? That's a prestigious title for someone so young". Despite that, he did get the job and I thought of this comic as a positive spin of those times when we got paid peanuts and were rewarded with titles.
